Low Carb Snack Recipe Needs
- Fresh Mozzarella Cheese Ball
- Tomato
- Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Basil Leaves
Preparing the Ingredients
Slice the Mozzarella cheese into half a centimeter thick slices. Cut the tomato into 1/2 centimeter slices as well. In order for this delightful low carb snack to work, all the ingredients must be fresh.
Putting Everything Together
Put the tomato down first. Sprinkle a little salt on top of the tomato. Next goes the basil leaf. Now we place the slice of cheese on top to complete the stack. Sprinkle some pepper from the grinder and put olive oil on top of it. Put a teaspoon of olive oil. You can use more olive oil if you like. Use salt and pepper fresh from a grinder if possible.
The simplicity of this low carb snack makes it one of my favorite snacks. The mozzarella cheese provides some great fat and protein while the tomato and basil provide amazing flavor with very little carbs. Don’t forget the health benefits of olive oil. It’s still a fat!
Caprese salad is an Italian side dish that can be made as a great, quick dish. Sometimes I prepare this in the morning and take it along to work as lunch. Simple and tasty!
