Low Carb Recipe Needs
- Nice Piece of Salmon
- Lemon Pepper
- Olive Oil
- Tongs (optional)
- Frying Pan
Skin the Salmon
Simply use a sharp knife, lift one side of the skin up and cut. Clean it after you skin it to make sure no scales stay stuck on. Sometimes the piece of salmon comes skinned. If you’re purchasing the fish from a fish market, you can ask them to skin it for you.
Apply the Olive Oil
Make sure you apply a good amount of olive oil. To make it easier, you can put some oil in a small bowl and roll the salmon around in it.
Apply the Lemon Pepper
Apply a generous amount of lemon pepper on each side of the salmon. Put it into the frying pan and turn the stove to medium heat.
Cooking the Salmon
The salmon should be ready in about 20 minutes. Flip it occasionally to see if it’s ready. It should begin to flake apart once it’s nearing completion. The whole fish should be lighter, evenly colored and more pink rather than orange. Covering the pan is optional.
This is one low carb recipe that can come in convenient for last minute meals or for emergency company.

Post carb-up is a good time to lift weights in the gym beuacse your muscles will be primed for growth. Not saying you’ll get all huge but it’s a good use of the carbs and I do agree with the strategy of cycling your diet to get maximum benefits beuacse your body will adapt to anything. Another thought is if you’re not a huge fan of the sugary carbs you can carb up using complex carbs (think non-refined) which are less likely to turn into fat when you binge. Most people binge on sweets beuacse they like sweets and it allows them to stay off the the sweets for the rest of the week.

Actually recent studies have shown consistency in ketogenic diets and energy levels. http://www.meandmydiabetes.com/2011/04/14/steve-phinney-low-carb-preserves-glycogen-better-than-high-carb/
Most studies that have been done on ketosis and athletic performance haven’t taken keto-adaptation into consideration. Keto-adaptation has been said to take anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
From all the research that I’ve done. Carb loading isn’t as important as people think. Athletes and body builders can perform just as well on a ketogenic diet without loss of strength and endurance.
If you have any studies to support your information, I would definitely be interested in looking at them!

So, I’m curious how our sepeics evolved without animal products, especially in arctic regions or during winters where plants (and, especially fruits) were not available? How would you explain Eskimos having great health, prior to adopting a Western diet, by consuming mostly animal fat? Finally, why would it seem a good idea to constantly consume carbohydrates and cause Insulin to be produced to mop-up excess glucose? An average banana has six times the sugar’ that is typically found in our bloodstream. Too much sugar is toxic and the repeated release of Insulin eventually lead to Insulin resistance then Diabetes. I would love to hear your perspective.
