Low Carb Drinks & Beverages

Great Low Carb Drinks

  • Iced Tea (various Flavors)
  • Coffee
  • Iced Coffee
  • Seltzer Water (Various Flavors)
  • Unsweetened Lemonade (Lemon & Water)
  • Diet Soda/Drinks
  • Coconut Milk
  • Water

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day that had just started low carb. Low carb drinks became the topic of discussion. My friend went off on how difficult the transition from sugary drinks and flavored beverages to water is. That is actually the second time I heard complains about drinks when going low carb.


Believe it or not, there are some GREAT low carb drinks. One of my favorites is Tazo Passion Iced tea. I always get this from Starbucks when I’m out. You can also buy the bags to make yourself from most food stores. I got mine from Target. When going with iced tea, remember there are plenty of flavors, so you don’t have to settle for plain black or red tea.

You can always use splenda or any other artificial sweetener for your low carb drink options. I would recommend the syrup sweeteners instead of the packets. Sometimes dextrose or maltose are added in the packets for whatever reason. Be very careful in places like Starbucks and other places with sugar free syrup. If you don’t keep an eye on them or put a heavy emphasis on  the “sugar free” part of your order, they may just shrug it off and put the regular one.
