Low Carb Recipe: Butter Garlic Fish

August 22, 2012 by Amir Aribokill 2 Comments

Low Carb Recipe Needs

    • Any White Fish
    • Garlic Clove
    • 2-3 Stick of Butter
    • Cilantro 1/2 cup
    • Salt & Pepper 1 tblsp each
    • Lemon Juice (optional) 1 tblsp
    • Mortar & Pastel (optional)
    • Aluminum Foil
    • Oven Pan/dish

*PREHEAT OVEN TO 400F

Preparing the Butter

Melt two to three sticks (depending on fish quantity) of butter in a bowl and into the microwave to melt. Use enough butter to make sure the fish is semi submerged in the mixture.

Cut the Garlic & Cilantro

This can be done two ways.
(Method 1)Cut up the cilantro and garlic, then place aside.
(Method 2) Using a mortar & Pastel, mash up the garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper.

Mixing the Ingredients

Add the garlic/cilantro mixture to the oven dish, then gently add the butter and mix the mixture very well. At this point, you can add a tablespoon of lemon juice. I personally am fine without it, but some of my family members insist on it! Also, take a taste and see if it needs anymore salt and pepper.

Add the Fish

Add the fish to the oven dish and make sure you flip it around until both sides are covered in the mixture. Place the fish in a way where they are as submerged as possible. Using a spoon, scoop and spread the mixture on top of the fish.

Cooking the Fish

Cover the pan or dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven for 10 min at 400F. After 10 min, turn off the oven, take off the aluminum foil and leave it uncovered for another 5-10 min. Check if it’s done. When it begins to flake, it’s done. Enjoy your butter garlic fish with your friends and family!
