This is a simple low carb snack that can be packed for lunch or made on the go. Simply follow the steps below and stay healthy my friends!
Low Carb Snack Needs
- Cold Cut of Choice
- Sliced Cheese of Choice
- Sauce of Choice (horseradish, mustard and hot sauce work great)
- Pickles/spices optional
The Meat & Cheese
Choose your favorite cold cut meat and sliced cheese. My favorite combinations are bresaola/provolone, turkey/swiss, and roast beef/mozzarella.
Rolling the Ingredients
Take a plate and lay the meat down first. The cheese goes second. Now put your sauce (I use horseradish mustard) from one end to the middle, length wise. Roll everything as tightly as possible, starting from the point where the sauce begins and roll. This should spread the sauce throughout the roll, without having any spill off the sides.
I recommend getting deli cut meat and cheese rather than buying packaged ones. One thing I love to do is fry a 100% all natural beef hotdog until it’s semi burnt, then put it in the center as I wrap the cold cut! The cheese melts onto the hotdog with the horseradish mustard and all. How awesome is that for a low carb snack?!?
