SPOILER ALERT!! (If you haven’t already watched it, stop here!)
Warlow’s Wow & Zombie Vampires?
True Blood had a short season this year, but one of the best in my opinion. It ended great. The unexpected turn around with Warlow was a big twist. In the beginning of the season, Warlow was feared as a monster, and as the show progressed he seemed to be normal. Suddenly, when the cards were down, he flipped like a light switch and showed his true nature.
After 5000 years, can you really blame the guy for losing his patience? I feel bad for the dude. He was practically used this entire season. His blood was whored out to everyone and he spent half the season cuffed in Fairyland. Another big event was the day-walking effects of the vampires was reversed after Warlow was killed………Poor Eric………..Now we wonder, is he dead? Is that it for our hero??
Speaking of dead…….I can’t help but have this bad feeling about Tara’s mom. Is it possible she infected her daughter with HepV to “cleanse” her of her “demon”? I wouldn’t put it past her. She’s been a wild one in the past.
Bill & Eric
Bill and Eric were phenomenal in this season. However, the best was their change in personalities. Eric, started the season being a little closer to human than he had been in the earlier seasons. As the season progresses, however, the circumstances he faced, began to effect him, especially the loss of his
sister Nora. I feel like the exact opposite happened to Bill. In this episode, Bill became the vampire he once was. The vampire we all remember him as. A chivalrous, responsible man.
True Blood always surprises me. JUST like that, and a character is dead. Let’s hope that’s not the case for Eric, he’s one of my favorite character. Bill has changed for the best. He seemed sad that he doesn’t have his powers anymore, but he’s found himself again.
Even though there was very little of Eric in the finale, the episode made up for it with action from Bill. His fight with Warlow was brilliant, as his rescue plan for Sookie.
Andy and his daughter have become deeper characters in this season. Before, Andy was sort of an idiot. Now, he looks like he deserves the title “sheriff”. Andy has developed into one of the most responsible and understanding people on the show. Although his daughter remains vampire bait, she has a connection with Sookie.
Unfortunately, Jason is in the shitter. Violet got him by the balls in what seems to be a mentally sadistic relationship. This finale leaves us hanging with what will become of their relationship next season. Will Jason finally get some? Man, even I was frustrated watching that.
At the end of the episode, a number of what seemed to be Hep V infected vampires come together. Now vampires are already dead, but ironically, these infected vampires are slowly making their way into a pile of blood. Weakened and delirious, but definitely dangerous.
Do these vampires pose a threat to regular vampires? Does a bite of their’s infect regular vampires? How can humans even carry Hep V if it isn’t even suppose to effect them?
All in all, it was a great finale that left us wanting more.
