This iPad will be thinner, lighter and faster than the previous version. It really can’t get any better than that, unless they somehow sacrifice major durability to achieve it. This is Apple however, so I doubt that’s the case. Its got a few new features, but from the name, they’re focusing on it’s size. The iPad Air will weigh 1 pound, down from 1.4 pounds. It’s 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the current fourth-generation iPad.
According to Apple themselves, the iPad Air will have the same 9.7-inch screen as the other iPads and the same A7 processing chip that’s in the new iPhone 5S. That will make it 72 times faster than the original iPad, which is pretty damn serious if you ask me.
Overall, the iPad Air seems like a great step forward all around for Apple. It’s simple. They’re moving an already great product forward by updating it with the latest technology and schematics. How do you guys feel about the new iPad Air?
